Yes, it was this month’s sight to behold. The NYC DOT is replacing the Willis Avenue Bridge over the Harlem River with a new bridge featuring wider lanes, shoulders and a pathway for pedestrians and cyclists. The new swing span, while fully assembled at the Port of Coeymans in Albany County, was transported down the Hudson River to New York City to be fl oated into place. The project is scheduled for completion late 2012.
